“Talk about [God’s commands] when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up” (Deut 6:7).  It was this verse that prompted our desire to have our children attend SCCS. We wanted our children immersed in consistent Biblical teaching throughout their most impressionable years.  Having your small children leave home for more than seven hours of their day and be under the care of adults other than you, their parents, could be a daunting endeavour.  But knowing 10 years ago, that we were choosing a school where the staff and teachers cared not only for our children, but our God and His plan for them, was assurance that SCCS was the place for our children to be educated.  And now with our oldest about to graduate, God has proven to be faithful in our finances, and in our trust of His grace in helping our children understand their value in His sight.  Without having to contend with negative peer pressure and bad friendships, we see our children living lives that prove their understanding that they are God’s masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus, so they can do the good things planned for them long ago (Eph 2:10).  Self-esteem is important to young people and having that esteem stem from God’s love for them as individuals is the grounding that we know has pleased God and made Him first in our home and in the hearts of our children. “
